If you or a famly member are in need of medical assistance, there is a "walk-in" urgent care facility called Beach Medical Care located at 5200 N Croatan Hwy. Phone number to call if you want to speak to someone there before going is 252-261-4187. The hours are from 8 AM to 8 PM, however the last patient they will see is at 7:30 PM.

There is a hospital called Outer Banks Hospital located in Nags Head at 4800 S. Croatan Hwy. The phone number is 252-449-4500. There is also a toll free number- 877-359-9179

There are also many pharmacies along Croatan Hwy (route 158) from Southern Shores and south.
